Michael Brown ruled out for two months?
BBC Radio Stoke reports that veteran midfielder Michael Brown could miss the first two months of the season.
The 39 year-old has proved invaluable as an experienced head in the midfield and although Vale are well stocked in midfield, Brown’s experience will undoubtedly be missed.
The former Man City man was appointed assistant manager in the summer but he has stated in the past that he would like to continue as a player until at least his 40th year.
The news on Brown’s injury was announced during commentary on Vale’s friendly game with a Man Utd XI.
