Match report: Port Vale 0-2 Birmingham City
Port Vale lost to Championship side Birmingham City in a pre-season friendly at Vale Park on Wednesday night.
Bruno Ribeiro named a strong starting line-up but there was an early change when Jerome Thomas was replaced by Sam Kelly on 19 minutes. Vale then had a chance for Grant before JJ Hooper was replaced by Saleiro just before the interval.

The Valiants had another good chance in the second period when Foley forced the Blues keeper into a good save and with twenty five minutes to go the away side had a goal disallowed.
Jak Alnwick then made a good save from Storer but three minutes later the same player found the target to put the visitors 1-0 ahead with 17 minutes left.
And Birmingham wrapped things up with seven minutes left when they were awarded a penalty which Caddis converted to make it 2-0.
