Calvin Mac-Intosch – Powerful Dutch defender who was a junior at Ajax.
Kjell Knops – Ball-playing Dutch central defender who was Ribeiro’s first signing.
Midfield
Paulo Tavares – Arguably the most high-profile signing of the summer the 30 year-old spent four seasons in the Portuguese top-flight.
Quentin Pereira – A French midfielder who has impressed in recent friendly games.
Christian Mbamba – A speedy winger who was signed from Norwegian football.
Anthony Defreitas – 22 year-old former France U20 International midfielder.
Jerome Thomas – A vastly experienced winger with top-flight experience.
Forwards
Rigino Cicilia – Six foot five inches tall Curaçao (island which is part of the Netherlands) striker.
Carlos Saleiro – An experienced Portuguese striker who is now 30 years old.
Anton Forrester – A former Blackburn Rovers striker signed on a free transfer.
Juniors
Harry Pickering – Promising young goalkeeper who was on loan at Kidsgrove last season.
James Gibbons – Called a “terrier” by Vale coaches the young right-back has impressed in friendlies.
Billy Reeves – A versatile player able to play in midfield and across the defence.
Omar Haughton – A winger who was originally released before being given a second chance at Vale.
