Rumour: Could Notts County sign two Vale players?
Rumours are circulating that Carl Dickinson and Michael O’Connor could both be transfer targets for Notts County.
County have recently had a transfer embargo lifted and the Nottingham Post claim that manager John Sheridan is after three players – Carl Dickinson plus an unnamed midfielder and goalkeeper.
Michael O’Connor left Vale earlier in the summer as he sought a “new challenge.” He is looking for a club closer to his Lincoln home than Burslem (something that Nottingham would offer).
O’Connor was mentioned as a possibly County target by Nottingham Post journalist Leigh Curtis in an online webchat.
The newspaper claims that County want to make Dickinson their first signing with the others to follow later.
If the double move were to happen then Notts County would be the second club to make multiple Vale signings this summer. Shrewsbury have already added Louis Dodds, Ryan McGivern and AJ Leitch-Smith.
