Norman Smurthwaite dismisses Sentinel’s Paul Dickov claim
Port Vale owner Norman Smurthwaite has tweeted to deny press reports that Paul Dickov is a candidate for the vacant manager’s role.
Last week the Staffordshire Sentinel claimed that in addition to a foreign manager believed to be recommended by Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho that “the Sentinel understands that the other candidates are former Stoke City boss Brian Little and the ex-Oldham and Doncaster Rovers manager Paul Dickov.”
However, the Vale owner has tweeted:
