Lloyd “happy” to rejoin Chester if Vale spell ends
Winger Ryan Lloyd has told the Chester Chronicle that he would be keen on a move to Chester FC if he is released by the Valiants. The winger has been a professional for four years since progressing through the junior ranks but has failed to nail down a regular starting place, making just 18 first-team appearances.
Obviously, I would like to stay at Vale as it is where I have been all of my life and I’m a local lad. But if I am to leave then I’d be really interested in coming back…
He is one of a number of Vale players out of contract at the end of the season.
Lloyd went on loan to Chester in November and was a regular in the National League side for the remainder of the season.
Lloyd told the newspaper: “I loved my time at Chester and I’d be happy to come back if things didn’t work out at Vale.
“Obviously, I would like to stay at Vale as it is where I have been all of my life and I’m a local lad. But if I am to leave then I’d be really interested in coming back as the squad there is a great bunch of lads and Macca has been really good for me.”
