Teen Turner: “unbelievable” to make my Port Vale debut
17 year-old striker Dan Turner has tweeted that it was an “unbelievable feeling” to make his senior debut during the 4-1 win over Rochdale.
Vale were hit by injuries to AJ Leitch-Smith and Louis Dodds which meant that Turner lined-up on the bench just days after being offered his first professional contract.
The 17 year-old has progressed through the junior ranks and played in the Staffordshire Cup final in 2014.
The youngster came on in injury time for around 90 seconds of action and after the final whistle he was warmly congratulated by his teammates in the Port Vale youth team.
