Page: Team “take all the credit” for formation success

Rob Page was understandably delighted after a change to a 3-5-2 formation reaped dividends against Gillingham.

Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD after the match, he said: “I was really pleased with it and the lads have got to take all the credit for that.

I was really pleased with it and the lads have got to take all the credit for that…

“We’ve had a couple of days, we worked on it Thursday with them, we did a little bit of attacking play with them yesterday and the second goal epitomized it.

“It’s a great ball from Purks, from right wing back to Dicko at left wing back and he goes through and keeps a calm head and scores.

“Ajay scored a world class goal as well so all in all the lads have got to take the credit and to buy into it in a short space of time is credit to them.”
