Rob Page and Nigel Clough both say Saturday’s match will be tough

Manager Rob Page is under no illusions about the task facing Port Vale when they take on league leaders Burton Albion.

He told the media: “We know we face a tough test. Burton are top of the table, coming to our pitch and everyone is aware of what we have done at home this season, so that will add to it.

We know we face a tough test. Burton are top of the table…

“Bring it on! We are really looking forward to this game.”

Meanwhile, Burton boss Clough told the local media: “It’s [the win over Peterborough] really lifted their hopes of a play-off place.

“They’re a big club with Championship pedigree, in years gone by, and they’ve got a brilliant home record as well – one of the best in the division if not the country.

“I think those sorts of things will come into play on Saturday and with them chasing the play-offs, they’re in a position where they’ll fancy their chances.”
