O’Connor says Page deserves “credit” for work in first full year
Midfielder Michael O’Connor says that Vale have improved under manager Rob Page and the boss deserves praise for where he taken Vale in the first full year of management.
To do it in his the first full year of management is credit to him…
O’Connor told the Sentinel: “It is very satisfying. I think the budget was cut a bit last year for Rob Page and Dean Glover, who helped bring players in. The manager has brought in his own coaching staff and brought in John Harbin (performance coach) who has really helped fitness wise.
“The table shows that we have improved from last year. We are on 52 points now but the next step is can we get in that top six?
“I think when Rob Page came in it would be two or three years before we were actually fighting in the top six. To do it in his the first full year of management is credit to him.”
