Page hopeful that loan exits will allow striker move
Manager Rob Page says he wants to bring a striker into the club after he allowed Colin Daniel to move out on loan.
Daniel joins squad members Ryan Lloyd and Sam Johnson in going on loan in recent months while a number of youngsters such as Billy Reeves, Chekaine Steele and Omar Haughton have also been allowed temporary moves.
I would like to bring one more in if possible as opposed to getting players out…
The Vale manager is clearly hopeful that the loan moves will free up funds for another forward. He told the Sentinel: “We have enough up top at this moment in time, but if there is business to be done, I would like to bring one more in if possible as opposed to getting players out. That is the plan with the squad we have got.
“That would be up top definitely. We showed last week against, in my opinion, a mediocre Sheffeld United team, that the difference was a striker that has smashed it into the back of the net given half a chance.”
