Winger Matthew Kennedy already keen to extend Port Vale stay
On loan Cardiff City winger Matthew Kennedy has told the Wales Online website that he would be happy to extend his stay at Vale Park.
Kennedy has signed on an initial month’s loan and enjoyed an impressive debut against Doncaster Rovers.
If I am playing and doing well and Rob is keen on me then I would want to stay to the end of the season…
The winger has now suggested that even if Cardiff want him to return after a month, he would be happier to extend his loan with the Valiants and get “more game time.”
Kennedy commented: “I knew Rob Page was interested in me before I went to Cardiff. Vale have been trying to get me on loan for a while and it is the club that showed the most interest, of a few clubs that wanted me, so I am just happy to be here.
“He knew a few of the coaches at Cardiff. They were saying he is probably the best manager to bring the best out of me so hopefully he can do that.
“I am still young and the more game time I can get the better; I am just trying to improve.
“It is a month to start with but I have spoken to Cardiff. They are keen to try to get me back after the loan but if I am playing and doing well I am going to want to stay. If I am playing and doing well and Rob is keen on me then I would want to stay to the end of the season.”
