Striker light: Page wants more goals in his side
Rob Page says that the Vale are “crying out” for a goalscorer as he looks to target a “successful second-half” to the season.
Page let Uche Ikpeazu return to Watford earlier this month and could be tempted to replace the forward with another loan striker.
All season we have been crying out for these lads that are going to get us the goals…
He told the Sentinel: “We need a goalscorer. That’s nothing against the lads we have got here, I am really pleased with them. JJ is improving every day in training and opposition managers are talking about AJ after the games. That is great to hear.
“We have enough at the back and in the middle of the park. All season we have been crying out for these lads that are going to get us the goals and I think we are close to having a successful second half of the season.”
