Page is hopeful reserves game will be on as he eyes changes
Rob Page is hoping that this week’s reserve game against Bradford City will go ahead as he looks at making changes for Saturday’s home game.
Defender Ryan Inniss could be one of a number of players who could make a case for first-team inclusion after Page was particularly critical of the defensive display during the 3-1 defeat to Millwall.
The Valiants felt Inniss was short of match fitness for the Millwall game but a reserve outing would help boost his fitness after he suffered a shoulder injury earlier in the season.
Another contender could be midfielder Anthony Grant, who lost out to veteran Michael Brown on Sunday.
The reserve game will also give Page a chance to assess trialist Jason Banton. Vale are set to make a decision on the winger soon and an impressive reserves outing could boost his chances of a move to Vale Park.
