Inniss to play for Reserves as he continues comeback

Ryan Inniss has returned to Port Vale and will play for the Reserves against Wigan as he continues his return to match fitness.

The defender was injured in September and has undergone shoulder surgery.

Inniss, on loan from Crystal Palace, is expected to be in first-team contention by the middle of January.

Manager Rob Page told the Sentinel: “We have given him a good couple of days of training. We have to complete so many sessions before we can put him in contention, understandably so having had the injury he has had.

“We have to get reserve games into him as well and are confident that within a couple of weeks we will have him ready to go.
