Manager Rob Page felt that the Valiants deserved a draw after they slipped to a late defeat at Coventry on Boxing Day.
Page told the media: “We wanted to attack them straight away, we were on the front foot and I thought the lads were outstanding in the first half.
“We have come to a team that is in form, and are where they are in the table because they are consistent with their level of performance. We knew we had to be at our best and, in the first half, I thought we certainly did that. We had Ajay hit the post and Sam Foley had an opportunity.
“When you come to places like this the opportunities are going to be limited so you have to take them. We didn’t and we got punished for it. But the level of performance warranted maybe a point.”
