Page: A successful loan spell could result in a first-team place
Manager Rob Page has explained his reasoning behind allowing players to leave on loan arguing that a successful loan spell could result in a first-team chance.
Achille Campion has moved on loan to Torquay United this month joining Vale defender Nathan Smith at the club. It is understood that Vale would be happy for goalkeepers Sam Johnson, Ryan Boot and forward JJ Hooper to also go out on loan.
The plan is that in six months or whenever it is, he comes back and is in our first team…
Page told the Sentinel: “Achille Campion has gone down to Torquay and that will do him the world of good.
“The plan is that in six months or whenever it is, he comes back and is in our first team. It is the same with JJ .
“I am not saying we have to get him out on loan straight away but I think it will benefit him by going and playing games and then we know have a good player here that is ready to go and compete.”
