Port Vale sign new goalkeeper in time for Crewe game
Port Vale have announced the signing of goalkeeper Jak Alnwick on a short-term contract.
The goalkeeper is eligible to play in the season’s opener against Crewe Alexandra.

Alnwick, who played six games in the Premier League for the Magpies is the second signing from Newcastle United this summer, joining former teammate Remie Streete.
The club have announced that the 22 year-old is eligible to play in the season’s opener against Crewe Alexandra.
Manager Rob Page told the official website: “In the absence of Chris Neal through injury we felt it was important to bolster our goalkeeping ranks.
“Jak is a very talented player who has experience at the highest level with Newcastle United and he’s also had a taste of League One with Bradford.
“We’re very pleased to have him on board and the players and coaches are all looking forward to working with him.”
