Team News
Chris Neal will miss the game after he sustained an injury against Notts County. Sam Johnson will probably start the game but Ryan Boot may also get some game-time as Vale plan for a potentially lengthy spell on the sidelines for Neal.
Fans will also focus on Vale’s forward line-up. The Valiants started the game against County with “little and large” combo of Uche Ikpeazu and Enoch Andoh and although both had “goals” disallowed, arguably the later partnership of Louis Dodds and AJ Leitch-Smith looked more dangerous.
Vale’s La Liga opponents ould hand a debut to new loan signing Ghana international Bernard Mensah. The visitors also have Santiago Vergini, an Argentinian International on loan from Sunderland in their squad.
Pre-match quote
“Getafe will have some very good technical players. They will move the ball from back to front and they will stretch us. That’s exactly what we want at this stage of pre-season…
– Port Vale assistant manager Paul Bodin
