Colin Daniel says he wants to push for a place upfront after a prolific spell in the club’s pre-season friendlies.
Daniel’s contribution often goes unnoticed but the utility man has been on target three times during the club’s summer fixtures.
The 27 year-old has played as a winger and a forward for the Valiants but he told the official website he wants to concentrate on a striker’s role. Daniel commented: “I’ve told the manager I would prefer to play up front this year.
“He has played me there and hopefully I’ve been rewarding him with goals, although it be against lesser sides but you still have to score the goals.”
