Alsager 2-5 Port Vale
Enoch Andoh scored his first first-team goal while Uche Ikpeazu and Remie Streete made their first starts of the summer as Vale recorded a friendly win over Alsager.
The home side took the lead after 27 minutes but after Ikpeazu hit the post, Byron Moore followed up to make it 1-1 after 36 minutes.
But three minutes before half-time, Alsager made it 2-1 as the home side led at the break. Vale made three changes at the break with Andoh, Daniel and Smith replacing Dodds, Ikpeazu and Streete.
Vale got a penalty on the hour mark (which also signalled wholesale changes in Vale’s team) and Michael O’Connor made it 2-2. Then Andoh made it 3-2 with a cool finish and then Colin Daniel made it 4-2 with Vale’s second goal in two minutes.
On 75 minutes, Campion replaced Daniel and six minutes later the Frenchman made it 5-2.
