Albert Fishwick player profile:
Albert Fishwick was a centre forward who was signed by Port Vale from Blackpool in March 1927. An experienced forward, he had begun his career at Plymouth Argyle back in 1923.
Fishwick made his debut in a Potteries Derby match against Stoke City on the 17th March and he managed one goal in his first season. He then scored six in fifteen appearances in the 1928-29 season, but unfortunately the Valiants were relegated at the end of the campaign.
The striker then hit four goals in 1929-30 as Port Vale finished as the Third Division (North) Champions and were promoted to the second division. Fishwick hit a further four goals in twelve games in the 1930-31 season before he was sold to Tranmere Rovers in 1931. He finished his playing career with a spell at Chorley in 1934 ending with a record of 61 goals in 199 appearances.
