Port Vale sign defender Remie Streete
Port Vale have announced the signing of free agent Remie Streete on a two year deal.
The centre-half was released by Newcastle United at the end of the season. Rob Page told the official Port Vale website: “We’re really pleased to have signed up Remie. He’s a very good player with a lot of potential – something we saw when he was last with us.
We were very impressed when he was last with us and we made him one of our top summer targets…
“Remie, along with Sam who we also signed today, is now part of the bright future we are building at this football club.
“We were very impressed when he was last with us and we made him one of our top summer targets so to have him in the building is brilliant.”
The signing of Streete will be seen as something of a coup for the Valiants as the defender enjoyed a brief but sucessful loan spell with the club and has been linked with other sides.
Many fans will now hope that the club can clinch the loan signing of Ryan Inniss and start the season with a newlook centre-half partnership of Inniss and Streete.
