Former Valiants: Yeovil replace Foley with Laird

Yeovil have responded to the loss of midfielder Sam Foley to Vale by signing former Valiants loanee Marc Laird.

Laird, who was on loan with Port Vale in 2007,  joins Yeovil from Tranmere Rovers.

The next item of news doesn’t concern a player but he is a former Valiant nevertheless. Physio Matt Radcliffe, who is regarded as one of the best in the game has left Manchester United. Radcliffe began his career with Port Vale before moving on to Southampton and latterly Manchester United.

It’s not so good news for another former Vale loanee. As reported this weekend, former Wolves midfielder Chris Cornes has been arrested on suspicion of supplying cocaine.
