Lines would “think seriously” about Rovers return
Port Vale midfielder Chris Lines says he would seriously consider a move to hometown club Bristol Rovers.
Lines has enjoyed a successful loan spell which culminated in a Wembley play-off final victory over Grimsby Town.
I’d love to come back and play for Bristol Rovers next season…
Lines told the Bristol Evening Post: “I’d love to come back and play for Bristol Rovers next season.
“I’ve said all along that if the club were to be promoted back into the Football League and wanted me to stay, I would think seriously about it.”
It has been expected for some time that Lines does not feature in Rob Page’s plans. He moved to Rovers because of a lack of first-team opportunities at Vale and when Loans departed on loan, Page commented that loanee Tommy O’Sullivan offered “the same quality” but for much cheaper wages.
