Terry Miles player profile:
Terry Miles was a long-serving, locally-born player who became a professional with Port Vale FC in 1955 and broke through to the first-team the following season.
He was a regular in the 1958-1959 promotion side and he was also ever-present in the 1960-1961 team.
He also became the first-ever playing substitute for Port Vale in 1965 in a game against Stockport County.
He was released in 1968 after making over four hundred appearances for the club. He later played for non-league side Sandback Ramblers alongside former Vale midfield partner Harry Poole.
A Port Vale fan, he also assisted with coaching youngsters at the club for a time.
