Port Vale 0-0 Milton Keynes
Vale halted their losing run with a valuable draw against promotion hopefuls Milton Keynes.
Rob Page brought in Achille Campion upfront and also brought back Neill Collins and Michael Brown. The Vale started the half well and were more than matching their promotion-seeking opponents.
On half an hour, the Valiants protested that Milton Keynes defender Anthony Kay should have been sent-off for a professional foul and awarded a penalty but the ref only awarded a free-kick and a yellow card. The officials were subject to stick from the crowd for the remainder of the half.
Vale ended the half strongly and Marshall had a good chance only to head over.
The home side continued their decent performance in the second period with Dodds having an early effort and sub Coulibaly impressing after coming off the bench. There was also a Vale effort cleared off the line in the closing moments as it finished goalless and a creditable point for the Valiants.
