Railway stand closed for Crawley game
Port Vale have announced the closure of the Railway Stand for Tuesday’s game against Crawley.
The move is to both save costs and in an attempt to boost the atmosphere at Vale Park. The corner stand between the Railway and Bycars will also be closed.
Chairman Norman Smurthwaite told the official website: “We’re all disappointed with the loss to Swindon Town at the weekend.
“We feel this decision will help improve the atmosphere in Vale Park, like it has done in previous cup games, for what is another important match against Crawley.
“We’re all committed to getting back to winning ways and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone united tomorrow night in our quest for three points.”
All displaced season ticket holders will be allowed access to the Lorne Street Stand, Bycars Stand or the Railway Paddock by showing their cards at the relevant turnstiles.
