Another former Valiant joins Tranmere
Former Vale manager Micky Adams has signed his fifth former Port Vale player for his current club Tranmere Rovers.
Jordan Hugill, who left Vale Park for Preston in controversial circumstances in the summer has joined League Two Rovers on loan until the end of the season.
Hugill joins Rob Taylor, Jennison Myrie-Williams, Steve Jennings and player-coach Chris Shuker at the club.
The striker was plucked from non-league to make an impact in the Vale first-team last season. He scored five times in 24 appearances and looked to be a hot prospect for the future.
But he turned down a new deal to sign a more lucrative contract with Preston – a move that riled some fans who felt Hugill should have shown more loyalty to the club that gave him his chance in league football.
