Streete loan looks unlikely
Newcastle United look set to turn down any Port Vale approach for former loanee Remie Streete.
Streete impressed whilst on loan at Vale Park but was recalled by his parent club due to a defensive injury crisis. However, Vale were impressed by the youngster and the player himself suggested that he would be willing to return to the Valiants on loan in order to gain first-team experience.
Newcastle continue to have injury worries in defence and that means that any Vale return for the defender now looks unlikely.
However, Streete is out of contract in the summer and with Newcastle set to appoint a new manager, his future in the North East remains uncertain.
