Page challenges Moore to push for place

Manager Rob Page has urged winger Byron Moore to force his way into the first-team reckoning.

Moore understandably missed all of the pre-season training following the tragic death of his brother and his last first-team start came back in September.

Byron has ability in abundance, so it is about getting that out of him on a consistent basis…

Page told the Sentinel: “Byron has ability in abundance, so it is about getting that out of him on a consistent basis. But of course he is in my thoughts, he is a good player.

“However, you have to prove it in training and then, when you get the opportunity, you have to grasp it with both hands. There are other players that, in my opinion, are doing slightly better so they get the nod.
“He just has to keep working hard and everyone at some stage will get their chance.

“You have to train as you play and that is what we are trying to instil into the group. A large part of that is happening. There is still room for improvement, but it is going all right.”
