Mixed news for Vale loanees
Port Vale will allow Stephane Zubar to return to Bournemouth after agreeing to extend the loan spell of Remie Streete.
Zubar has arguably been unlucky during his brief stay at Vale. After his debut in a poor defeat to Preston, he looked comfortable in a home win against Yeovil but then saw red in Vale’s return game at Preston and missed the rest of his loan spell through suspension.
Streete has had better fortune. After taking a couple of weeks to break into the Vale side, he has added quality and calmness to a backline that was shipping goals.
Streete’s spell has now been extended to January and manager Rob Page told the official website: “I think Remie has shown what he is all about in the two games he has had. It’s pleasing to tie him down until January. He is a great lad to have around and gets on with his training.”
