Adams thinks Vale can do better
Manager Micky Adams was satisfied with an away point on Tuesday night but still insisted that the team “can still do better.”
Speaking after the 1-1 draw with Oldham, Adams said: “To some degree I think we got out of jail here. I thought Oldham really got after us off the back of their defeat on Saturday.
“I thought they came out all guns blazing and gave us very little time on the ball.
I don’t think we got anywhere near the standards we set on Saturday, but having said that we have ground out a point…
“So I am pleased to get a point and I am happy with four points on the road in the last two games. That is real progress from us.
“I think 12 months ago we would have got beaten here, we would have crumbled, so I am delighted that we got a point tonight, but I think we can still do better.
