Hugill thanks Vale staff and fans
Striker Jordan Hugill has paid tribute to Port Vale officials and supporters after completing his move to Preston North End.
Hugill moved to Deepdale after just a single season at Vale Park and the Valiants arguably played a major part in transforming him from a non-league player into a promising, albeit raw, League One talent.
His subsequent move to a League One rival has therefore been a controversial one for Vale supporters and the role of the striker’s agent in engineering the move has prompted much criticism from Vale fans.
In an apparent bid to leave the club on better terms, Hugill tweeted:
Absolutely buzzing to have signed for @pnefc Can't wait to start the season! Thanks to everyone at @OfficialPVFC for giving me my chance…
