Adams challenges Lloyd
Micky Adams has laid down the gauntlet to youngster Ryan Lloyd challenging him to cement a place in the first-team.
Lloyd made his first senior starts last season and some fans were surprised when the left winger was offered a new contract.
However, Adams says places are up for grabs and the Vale boss told the Sentinel: Ryan has been given that extra year to prove he is good enough. He has been given the platform, so now the rest is down to him.

“When I talk about a platform for the players, I don’t just mean games, it’s the work the players do every day.
“Pre-season is about showing they are ready and can take that next step.
“The players have been given that platform, now they have to grab the opportunity.”
