This feature contains rumour and speculation. All of these rumours should be treated as unconfirmed gossip until any move is officially announced by the club itself. We make no apologies for publishing some rumour and gossip (after all, even the state broadcaster, the BBC, publishes a daily Football Gossip column) but we’d just like to reiterate that this feature should not be treated too seriously.
Mohamed has been unsettled at Vale Park since arriving last summer. He played just eight times for the club last season after spending time on loan at AFC Wimbledon and Bristol Rovers.
Earlier this month, the Sentinel revealed that Mohamed was about to leave the club if a settlement could be reached over the last 12 months of his contract.
Oxford were one of the clubs linked with Mohamed by the player’s agent, former Valiant Phil Sproson, and following the release of former Vale winger Sean Rigg (who has moved to AFC Wimbledon), the club are in the market for another wide player.
Now a popular football rumours website claims that Oxford are about to announce the “signing of a forward” next week.
Could that player be Kaid Mohamed?
Mohamed’s season stats
Port Vale: 3+5 games, no goals
