Pope named player of the year once again

Tom Pope has become the first Vale player to win two successive player of the year awards after he was named as the winner for the 2013-14 season.

Pope, who has scored 16 goals this season, was a runaway winner of the award last season. Only David Harris, Ray Walker, Mark Grew and Neil Aspin have won the award twice though neither of them managed it in consecutive seasons.
