Manager Micky Adams has indicated that he expects to sign a new contract with the club and end months of speculation over his future.
Adams told the Sentinel: “I don’t think there is going to be a problem, it is just a matter of the solicitors saying ‘yes’ so we can get everything done and signed.

“But I went away for a few days at the end of the season and then I was away last week at my daughter’s wedding. Then my solicitor has been away for a week.”
Adams indicated that he had had offers from other clubs and he had been linked with a possible move to Blackpool but it now looks like Vale are in prime position to hold on to their manager.
