Opposing views: Notts County
County fan Liampie is way of Vale’s Tom Pope and thinks his side can manage a draw against the Valiants.

I felt Notts would be doing a lot better and I think the majority of our fans felt the same. So, to be in a relegation fight it’s been different. Our current forms been much better, the loss to Brentford, I hope, is just a small blip before our great escape.
Who should we watch out for?
Grealish and Campbell-Ryce pull the strings for us from midfield, while our new partnership upfront in the form of Murray and Spencer is starting to pay off.
What are your thoughts on your manager?
Shaun Derry is still learning, I like his passion but at the same time I think his inexperience allows games to slip from our grasp…
Shaun Derry is still learning, I like his passion but at the same time I think his inexperience allows games to slip from our grasp due to him avoiding changes or giving pitch-side instructions. Overall, I am happy because he’s a fan and he will naturally want the best, not just for himself but the club.
What are your thoughts on your board?
The board’s the board, I don’t really have an opinion on them. I don’t get the blame Rodwell receives or the abuse the Trews receive. I think they’re like any other owners but a lot more caring, yet it’s natural to blame them when things aren’t going well like this season. Off-field the club are actively encouraging the community, the board are approachable by the fans and I think that is a good thing.
Any views on Port Vale?
Tom Pope… Good player from what I have seen of him and he’s done well since stepping up for League Two. I don’t really know much else about your squad.
Any views and memories of players/managers that have been involved with both teams?
I am surprised that Luke’s playing for Forest Green Rovers, alongside Lee Hughes…
Luke Rodgers is the only player I recall, I have heard of Brett Angell but he was before my time. I am surprised that Luke’s playing for Forest Green Rovers, alongside Lee Hughes another player linked to our clubs. I think both Luke and Lee could be playing in League Two easily and I wished we would have taken Luke on.
A score prediction?
I see it being 1-1, with a goal for us by Mullins.
