Grimmer in line for unlikely comeback
Defender Jack Grimmer is set to be in contention for Saturday’s game against Wolves.
The loan defender was stretchered off on Saturday after he suffered a knee injury but he looks to have made a rapid recovery as he took part in training on Thurday.
A delighted Micky Adams told the Sentinel: “Jack Grimmer has come through a training session and we will assess him on Friday and Saturday. I’ve got a good physio, haven’t I!”
If Grimmer is passed fit, Vale will probably choose between Richard Duffy and Joe Davis as his partner. If Grimmer does not make it, then Davis and Duffy are likely to be paired together.
