Seven years on, GTC is set for 1,000th prize
OVF’s popular Guess the Crowd (GTC) competition has been running for SEVEN years and will soon be handing out its ONE THOUSANDTH prize – and to celebrate there’s a bonus prize on offer.
The hugely popular competition is run by Barry Edge and has literally contributed tens of thousands to Port Vale club funds. As most prizes are purchased from the Port Vale club shop, the total runs at over £11,000 paid into the club.
We received this message from Guess the Crowd founder Barry about the forthcoming milestone: “Let me start off by saying that what you’re about to read is not rumour, and that you safely tell our readers you got the information from a very reliable source.
That’s right, no ‘tick tock’ nonsense for this one.
Guess the crowd in numbers:
- Started in 2006
- Nearly 1,000 prizes
- Over £11,000 paid to Port Vale FC
Rob, during the next few weeks (including the Peterborough United GTC) one of our readers will claim the 1,000th prize since it all began in August 2006, and to celebrate the occasion an extra £50 will be added to their winnings.
That’s correct, their total winnings will be £20 + £50 = £70. Not bad eh!
But wait, there’s more!
In addition there will be near-miss prizes of £25 to the 999th and 1,001st winner claiming prizes i.e. £20 + £25 = £45.
Oh, and by the way, whilst I am happy to share the number of prizes still to be won and claimed to take us that magical milestone, mum’s the word.”
