Frankie Allen to be Vale’s mascot
Frankie Allen, whose fight against leukaemia has captured the hearts of Vale fans, will be well enough to attend the Bristol City game as mascot.
Frankies Fight have asked fans to join in a chorus of There’s only one Frankie Allen…
Frankie, a Port Vale supporter, was originally scheduled to be the mascot for the Wolves game, but sadly she was too unwell to attend.
But Frankies Fight, a campaign set up to raise support for Frankie has told OVF that she will be able to lead the teams onto the pitch on Saturday.
Frankies Fight have asked fans to join in a chorus of “There’s only one Frankie Allen” at the Wolves game and again they have asked supporters of both sides to sing the song when Frankie takes the pitch. The family and supporters were given a real boost by the singing of the song at the Wolves match and a repeat on Saturday will show Frankie, her family and friends that the whole of Port Vale (and not forgetting opponents Bristol City) are behind them and their fight.
We hope Frankie has a fabulous day at Vale Park. All of us at OVF send our very best wishes to Frankie, her family and supporters.
