Vale youngster Hugill goes out on loan
Prolific Port Vale development squad striker Jordan Hugill has joined Conference side Gateshead on a one month loan deal.
Playing in the Conference is another opportunity for me, and one I intend to take…
Hugill, a graduate of the Glenn Hoddle Academy has been in decent goalscoring form for the reserves and scored in the 4-1 win over Oldham this week
He told the official Gateshead website: “I scored 10 goals in 15 games for Marske last season in the Northern League before joining Port Vale and I have been among the goals for Vale reserves and U21s .”
“I’ve come to Gateshead to play well, get first team experience and score some goals. I’m a big number nine and I don’t mind fighting for my position.
“The two years in the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain were great as there were some top coaches and I learnt a lot.
“Playing in the Conference is another opportunity for me, and one I intend to take.”
Hugill is the second Vale youngster to be sent on loan in the Conference with Ryan Lloyd currently at Tamworth.
