According to tweets from BBC Radio Stoke Port Vale could be signing former Watford defender Carl Dickinson.
Vale are in need of a new defender after suffering injuries to Adam Yates, Richard Duffy, Joe Davis and Dan Jones but the signing of Dickinson, a proven performer in the Championship would be a real coup for the club.
Radio Stoke’s Lee Blakeman tweeted the following:
On Wednesday lunchtime, Watford confirmed that the defender had left the club by mutual consent, could Vale Park be his next destination?
26 year-old Dickinson started his career at Stoke City and has made over 150 senior appearances for Stoke, Watford and loan spells at Blackpool, Leeds, Barnsley, Coventry and Portsmouth.
