Port Vale 3-5 Derby County
Vale netted three times in the first half an hour but Championship side Derby County hit back to win Tuesday’s friendly 5-3.
Derby took the lead after Liam Chilvers committed a foul in the box and Jacobs netted the penalty on five minutes.
But Vale roared into a two goal lead after Pope (15), Robertson (28) and Pope again on the half-hour mark.
The Valiants, who had ‘new’ signing Anthony Griffith on the bench, took the 3-1 lead into the interval but the visitors hit back after the break.
Hoganson and Hendrick scored to make it 3-3 on the hour mark. Russell made it 4-3 to the visitors with twelve minutes and Forsyth netted in the closing stages to make it 5-3 to the visitors.
