Midfielder linked with Port Vale switch
The Swindon Advertiser says that it “understands Port Vale have shown an interest in taking midfielder Alan Navarro off Town’s hands.”
32 year-old Navarro, who has also been linked with a move to Chesterfield, would certainly add experience to the Vale midfield but the former Crewe man has recently tweeted claiming he wants to stay at the County Ground.
Navarro joined Swindon, his ninth club, in 2012 and scored twice on his debut, ironically against former club Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Valiants have lost Ryan Burge, Sam Morsy, Kingsley James and Anthony Griffith from their midfield and while the signing of Chris Lines has been welcomed, another new face would add depth to the Valiants’ midfield.
