Two players agree Vale contracts
Manager Micky Adams has told the Sentinel that two players have agreed terms with the club and it is possible that further players may join before the start of the season.
We’ve agreed deals with two players so far and we’re in the market for another couple…
The players will not sign their contracts and formally join the club until their contracts with their former clubs run out – meaning the pair are likely to be formally unveiled on Monday.
Vale have already signed Kaid Mohammed this summer and the double signing will take Vale’s new additions to three.
Adams told the newspaper: “We’ve agreed deals with two players so far and we’re in the market for another couple.
“I’d like to think both of the lads we’ve settled terms with would be first-team players, but there are no guarantees for anybody at this club.
“They haven’t signed yet because their contracts, like most footballers, run out on July 1. But they might be involved on Thursday.”
It wouldn’t take a genius to work out where we need strengthening.”
