Bullish Adams: I don’t want to leave
Micky Adams has told a press conference that he has “never stated any desire to leave this football club” and he is “very, very happy.”
I’ve been very very happy at this football club, but six chairmen is draining…
The manager was speaking following the weekend announcement that Paul Wildes has left the club and Norman Smurthwaite has become the club’s sole owner.
Adams commented: “I’ve been very very happy at this football club, but six chairmen is draining. We’ve had six months of a smooth ride then we are back in choppy waters, but I am happy here.
“I have never stated any desire to leave this football club, I am doing my job and showing my commitment.”
The manager added a note of caution adding: “People think that we have a budget to take us to the high end of the league, but we have the sixth lowest in the league. To form a squad is going to be difficult, but we’ve all seen what Yeovil have done and it shows it can be done but let’s not get carried away.”
