Adams silent on Griffith move
Manager Micky Adams has no comment on whether Anthony Griffith will be rejoining the Valiants on a permanent basis in the summer.
I’d love the chance to come back. I’ve obviously never played in League One with Port Vale, so if I was offered a contract it would be a massive opportunity…
Griffith, who spent four years as a Vale player before joining Leyton Orient, returned on loan to general acclaim in March 2013.
Before the Northampton game, Griffith indicated that he would like to return to Burslem saying: “Port Vale have been a big part of my career and I’d love the chance to come back. I’ve obviously never played in League One with Port Vale, so if I was offered a contract it would be a massive opportunity.”
However, manager Micky Adams has refused to comment on any move for Griffith, telling the Sentinel: “Anthony Griffith is a Leyton Orient player. He is not my player, so I cannot talk about him.”
