Vale to enter loan market?
The Sentinel reports that manager Micky Adams is set to add one or possibly two loan players to his squad.
There’s no denying some of our players aren’t in form at the moment and we think bringing someone in who perhaps has that bit of confidence can help the team get back to where they were…
The Valiants have been in poor form recently and Adams feels that new additions are needed to ensure the side stay on course for promotion.
Co-owner Paul Wildes confirmed that one deal was very close to completion while he added that “there may be a second one at some point.”
“We’re very close to agreeing a loan,” Wildes told the newspaper.
“Micky feels there’s a need to freshen things up and we’ve been looking around.
“We have a good squad, so finding players who would add to what we’ve got hasn’t been easy.
“But there’s no denying some of our players aren’t in form at the moment and we think bringing someone in who perhaps has that bit of confidence can help the team get back to where they were.”
Wildes said confirmation of the loan deal, which will run until the end of the season, would depend on “logistics”, but was confident it would be completed today.
“There might be another one at some point, but we’ll wait and see on that,” he added.
